Herman Geesaman joined the Royal Rangers in 1977. He joined the FCF in 1982 and earned his Wilderness rating in 1995.  Herman has served in many Royal Rangers leadership positions over the years including Outpost Senior Commander, Area Commander, Deputy Sectional Commander, Sectional Commander and Divisional Commander in the Pennsylvania/Delaware District. “Happy Guy”, as he is known in the FCF, became the George Washington Chapter President in 1993 and held that position until 1998. He than became the FCF Territorial Representative for the Colonials Territory from 1997 through 2003.

 

Herman has been very involved with construction mission’s projects around the world. He has completed 45-50 trips including a number of Pathfinder trips. He has served on the National Pathfinder Committee since it was formed in 2002. He also served as the Northeast Regional Missions Coordinator from 2004 until 2006.

 

Herman has served on the staff of six National Training events including NTC and ANTC.

 

Herman Geesaman was awarded the Flame of Honor, the highest award the FCF can bestow on an individual in 1995, the award’s second year of existence.

 

He feels the FCF is a keeping tool, “The reason I got into the FCF is that I saw it was an excellent way to keep boys involved. The ministry needs to be about and for the boys”.

 

Herman and his wife, Betty Sue live in Grantville, PA. He is a semi-retired and trying to be fully retired mason who has owned his own company.
